Clients are increasingly expecting at least ISEB/ISTQB Foundation accreditation of candidates and in a quiet market this is the first of the selection criteria used to reduce the number of candidates for consideration.

A lot of very experienced testers are reluctant to sit the Foundation course because they consider this to be too basic for their experience. However, the Foundation course is a pre-requisite to the intermediate and Practitioners and also companies like their testing teams to be using the same testing terms to make communication so much easier.
